Press Release: Bloomberg Launches Real-Time Stablecoin Dashboard on Terminal via Allium Partnership | Featured Image by FF News

Bloomberg has integrated onchain stablecoin data into its Terminal via a new dashboard powered by Allium, a blockchain data provider. For fintech professionals, this move signals a shift in how digital assets are monitored, bringing decentralized liquidity metrics into the same environment used for traditional fixed income, foreign exchange, and money market analysis.

What was announced

The new dashboard, accessible via the command RWAS <GO>, provides institutional investors with a centralized view of the stablecoin market, which currently represents more than $300 billion in circulating supply. By partnering with Allium, Bloomberg is replacing the traditional "patchwork" of blockchain explorers and disparate analytics sites with a standardized data feed integrated directly into existing Terminal workflows.

The dashboard tracks every stablecoin with a circulating supply exceeding $100 million, a threshold that covers more than 98% of the total market. It also includes data on select smaller assets and those pegged to non-U.S. dollar currencies. Users can compare assets side-by-side using metrics such as total supply, mints, burns, transfer volume, and velocity. Current data is refreshed on an hourly basis, while historical series are updated daily.

Functionality within the tool allows market participants to drill down into specific blockchain networks to see where activity is concentrated. Users can also filter assets by their underlying peg, including fiat currencies, commodities, or other stablecoins. This level of granularity is designed to help institutions treat stablecoins as core infrastructure for settlement, cross-border payments, and as a vehicle for demand in short-dated U.S. Treasuries.

"Stablecoins are becoming an increasingly important part of institutional digital asset markets, particularly as firms explore how cash and assets can move within tokenized financial infrastructure."

Matthew Parkinson, Global Head of Digital Assets Product at Bloomberg.

The companies involved

Bloomberg is a global leader in financial data, software, and media, best known for the Bloomberg Terminal, which serves as the primary information hub for the professional financial services industry. The firm has maintained a presence in the digital asset space for over a decade, having first introduced Bitcoin pricing to its platform in 2014. Today, it provides spot pricing and reference data for 50 cryptocurrencies, alongside tools like Crypto Exposure Analytics for compliance and risk management.

Allium is an enterprise-grade blockchain data platform that specializes in providing high-fidelity onchain information to financial institutions. Led by Co-Founder and CEO Ethan Chan, the company focuses on delivering the same level of data certainty found in traditional markets to the digital asset sector. By providing the underlying data for Bloomberg’s new dashboard, Allium positions itself as a critical bridge between raw blockchain protocols and institutional-grade analytics. This collaboration follows other recent Bloomberg initiatives in the space, such as its work with Kaiko to bring Data License content to the Canton Network, reflecting a broader strategy of integrating tokenized markets with traditional finance.

What FF News has reported before

Bloomberg has recently accelerated its rollout of data solutions aimed at bridging the gap between complex market segments and institutional workflows. We recently covered how Bloomberg Acquires Canoe Intelligence to Automate Private Markets Data Workflows, a move that mirrors this latest stablecoin push by seeking to standardize opaque data sets. The firm also recently addressed the intersection of data and emerging technology with the launch of Bloomberg Launches Enterprise MCP to Bridge the Gap Between Financial Data and AI Agents. In the structured finance space, the company introduced a Comprehensive CLO Data Solution to Streamline Global Market Analysis. Meanwhile, the broader market's need for transparency was highlighted by a New Open-Source Stablecoin Tracker that maps global usage and regulatory rules across 200 jurisdictions.

What this means

This announcement moves the needle by legitimizing stablecoins as a standard asset class within the world’s most influential financial terminal. By placing onchain data alongside FX and money market tools, Bloomberg is effectively signaling that stablecoins are no longer "alternative" assets but are instead becoming essential settlement rails. This puts significant pressure on standalone blockchain analytics startups that lack Bloomberg’s massive distribution network. The move also raises questions for the wider sector regarding data standardization; as more institutions demand "certainty" in onchain metrics, the industry must move away from fragmented explorers toward the rigorous, audited data formats that traditional finance requires.
