Zero Hash has launched AUTH, an onchain authentication tool designed to eliminate the friction of manual wallet addresses and network selection. For fintech professionals, this represents a significant shift toward account-based onchain movements, potentially removing the primary user experience barriers that have historically prevented the mainstream adoption of stablecoins and tokenized securities.

What was announced

Zero Hash introduced AUTH to streamline onchain asset movements by replacing raw alphanumeric addresses with authenticated, user-permissioned account linking. The product allows users to connect self-custody and custodial accounts directly, abstracting away the complexity of choosing specific blockchains or copying long strings of characters. The service currently supports over 600 connections across custodial and self-custodial platforms, reaching an estimated 250 million users in more than 190 countries. Notable integrated platforms include Robinhood, Gemini, Coinbase (both Exchange and Wallet), MetaMask, and Phantom.

The technical flow of AUTH involves a user selecting a connection, authenticating via their existing credentials and multi-factor authentication, and then initiating a direct onchain transfer. This process is designed to result in near-instant movement without the manual workflows that typically create user friction. Partners using the infrastructure can configure transfer types and enabled assets to match their specific risk appetites. To lead the product’s growth, Zero Hash appointed Ryan Beaudry as General Manager of AUTH. Beaudry joins from Mastercard, where he served as Executive Vice President of Global Product & Operations for Open Finance, overseeing a network of nearly 100 million connected accounts and 10,000 applications servicing 15 billion API calls annually.

"Onchain rails scale when users stop thinking about the underlying technology. Usability, trust and control is the inflection point for mass adoption,"

Ryan Beaudry, GM of AUTH

The companies involved

Zero Hash is a prominent onchain infrastructure provider that enables businesses to integrate crypto, stablecoins, and tokenized assets via APIs and developer kits. The firm maintains a broad regulatory footprint, operating regulated entities in 51 U.S. jurisdictions and holding licenses across the EU, Latin America, and Bermuda. Its suite of products is used for cross-border payments, trading, and remittances. Crypto.com, one of the major partners for the AUTH launch, is a global cryptocurrency exchange with a heavy focus on regulatory compliance and security. Rainbow, another featured partner, provides a non-custodial wallet designed to simplify the user experience for interacting with decentralized applications. Other participants in the AUTH ecosystem include Bullish, a digital asset exchange for institutional and retail traders, and Public, an investing platform that recently expanded into onchain assets like stablecoins and crypto. These companies represent a cross-section of the digital asset market, from traditional brokerage services to native Web3 wallets.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has followed Zero Hash’s recent efforts to bridge institutional finance and onchain rails. Additionally, the firm recently acted as a validator to Integrate Tempo Blockchain for stablecoin payments. What this means

This move signals a transition from the "wild west" era of crypto UX—where users were expected to manage hex strings and gas fees—to a more traditional "Open Banking" style of interaction. By hiring a former Mastercard Open Finance executive, Zero Hash is clearly positioning onchain transfers as a direct competitor to legacy payment rails like ACH or SEPA. The pressure is now on wallet providers and exchanges that still rely on manual workflows; as users grow accustomed to account-linking, the risk of "fat-finger" errors or lost funds due to incorrect chain selection will become commercially unacceptable. This could finally unlock the "invisible" blockchain experience necessary for mass-market fintech applications.
