FE fundinfo Integrates Nexus with intelliflo to Reclaim 192 Hours for Financial Advisers
By Lauren Towner · 30 September 2026

FE fundinfo has launched the next phase of its Nexus for Financial Advisers platform, introducing a deep integration with intelliflo’s CRM system. For fintech professionals, this move addresses the critical "advice gap" by automating data flows between research, planning, and client records, potentially reclaiming five working weeks per year currently lost to manual administration.
What was announced
The update to Nexus for Financial Advisers represents a significant shift toward interoperability in the UK wealth management sector. By integrating directly with intelliflo, the platform allows advisers to pull client data into the Nexus Assistant meeting workflow and push captured information back into the CRM. This bi-directional flow is designed to eliminate the manual data entry that often occurs between disparate software systems.
The platform consolidates investment research, cashflow planning, and client meeting tools into a single interface. This prevents advisers from having to navigate multiple applications or learn different user interface layouts for each stage of the advice journey. According to FE fundinfo’s Financial Adviser Survey 2026, the need for such consolidation is acute: 95% of advisers report using too many software applications, with the average professional spending 192 hours annually—nearly five working weeks—reconciling data between them.
Currently, FE fundinfo’s data services support more than 3,900 advice firms in the UK. The company’s global database covers more than 100,000 active funds and 300,000 share classes. While intelliflo is the first CRM to be integrated in this phase, the company has stated that further integrations will follow by the end of the year, with additional capabilities for the Nexus platform scheduled to arrive by the end of 2026.
"Advisers should not have to change the way they work to accommodate their technology. Firms have built their stacks over many years, and the systems they rely on should connect to the rest of the advice journey rather than sit outside it. Our focus is on giving advisers one place to do the work, open to the tools they have already chosen, so they spend less time managing systems and more time with their clients."

The companies involved
FE fundinfo is a major player in the global fund data and technology space. The company provides the underlying data infrastructure for thousands of wealth management firms, particularly in the UK market, where its research and analysis tools are industry standards. Its database of 100,000 active funds makes it a primary source for investment professionals seeking granular share class information and performance metrics. The firm focuses on connecting the investment management industry through data-driven workflows.
Intelliflo is a dominant provider of practice management software for financial advisers. Its CRM platform serves as the central hub for thousands of advice firms, managing client records, compliance, and business workflows. The company has a long-standing presence in the UK fintech ecosystem and is frequently involved in strategic partnerships aimed at improving adviser efficiency. By connecting its CRM capabilities with third-party research and planning tools, intelliflo maintains its position as the foundational "operating system" for many financial planning businesses. Together, these two companies represent a significant portion of the technology stack used by UK-based independent financial advisers and larger wealth management groups.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely tracked the evolution of both companies as they address efficiency gaps in the wealth sector. We previously covered how AI Adoption Among UK Financial Advisers Surges to 74% as Efficiency Gaps Persist, a report that highlighted the same administrative burdens FE fundinfo is now targeting with Nexus. The company also recently strengthened its leadership, as seen when FE fundinfo Appoints Bjoern Doehrer as Chief Product Officer to Drive Global Product Strategy.
Intelliflo’s role in the ecosystem has been a recurring theme, notably when intelliflo and Söderberg & Partners Form Strategic Partnership to Drive Adviser Efficiency. What this means
This move signals a necessary shift away from the "walled garden" approach that has historically plagued wealth management technology. For years, the industry has suffered from a fragmentation of tools that forced advisers to act as manual data bridges between their CRM and their research platforms. By prioritizing deep, bi-directional integration, FE fundinfo is putting pressure on other niche software providers to either open their APIs or risk obsolescence. The real test for the sector will be whether these efficiencies actually lower the cost of advice for the end consumer, or if the reclaimed "five weeks" of administrative time are simply absorbed into higher firm margins.
