Freedom24 Expands Global Reach with Warsaw and Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange Access
By Lauren Towner · 5 October 2026

Freedom24 has expanded its trading ecosystem by providing European investors with direct access to the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. This move bridges the gap between Central European liquidity and Middle Eastern capital markets, offering fintech users a broader range of emerging and developed market instruments within a single proprietary platform.
What was announced
Freedom24 has integrated the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) into its Tradernet platform, significantly broadening its geographical reach. The GPW is recognized as the largest exchange in Central and Eastern Europe and was the first in the region to be classified as a developed market by FTSE Russell. Through this integration, clients can trade over 400 companies, including those in the WIG20 index, which tracks the most liquid Polish stocks. Featured instruments include retail giant Dino Polska, energy firm ORLEN, gaming company CD Projekt, and manufacturer Grupa Kęty. Orders on the GPW are settled directly in Polish zlotys (PLN), and the platform allows Polish clients to fund accounts via BLIK without additional fees.
The addition of the ADX introduces more than 130 instruments from the Middle East. The equity lineup features major regional players such as First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and Investcorp. The energy and industrial sectors are represented by ADNOC Gas, ADNOC Drilling, and Borouge, while the telecom and real estate sectors include e& (Emirates Telecommunications Group) and Aldar Properties. For technology-focused investors, the platform now offers access to UAE-listed AI and space-tech firms like Presight AI and Space42, alongside thematic ETFs covering AI data, quantum computing, and China’s internet sector. The ETF range also includes Shariah-compliant funds from Lunate, KraneShares, and Boreas, providing exposure to markets in Saudi Arabia, India, and Turkey. ADX orders are settled in UAE dirhams (AED), which users can fund via direct transfer or in-app currency conversion.
The companies involved
Freedom24 is a financial technology and stockbrokerage firm that connects European retail and institutional investors to global capital markets. It operates through its proprietary platform, Tradernet, and is licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under the MiFID II regulatory framework. Freedom24 serves all EU and EEA states and is the European subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp., an international financial group listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker FRHC. The parent company maintains a presence across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
The Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) is the primary securities exchange in Poland and a critical hub for the CEE region. It has recently focused on upgrading its technological infrastructure to compete with larger Western European hubs. The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) is one of the fastest-growing markets in the Gulf region, increasingly attracting international interest through a wave of high-profile IPOs in the energy and technology sectors. Both exchanges have sought to increase international participation by improving cross-border connectivity and diversifying their listed products, including ETFs and Shariah-compliant instruments.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has previously covered significant infrastructure and product milestones for both exchanges. In September 2026, we reported that the ADX Joins Global SWIFT Network to Boost Cross-Border Connectivity and Post-Trade Infrastructure, a critical step in facilitating international investment. This followed the announcement that Virtu Financial and ADX Launch POSIT Block-Trading Network in Abu Dhabi to enhance liquidity for institutional participants. Regarding the Polish market, FF News highlighted technical advancements when the Warsaw Stock Exchange Taps Exactpro to Secure GPW WATS Trading Platform Launch. Additionally, the exchange's move into digital-linked assets was noted as Virtune Expands Polish Crypto Presence with Launch of Chainlink ETP on Warsaw Exchange.
What this means
This expansion signals a shift in the retail brokerage sector, where simply offering access to US-listed "Magnificent Seven" stocks is no longer a sufficient differentiator. By integrating the GPW and ADX, Freedom24 is responding to a growing appetite for geographical diversification and specialized assets, such as Shariah-compliant ETFs and Middle Eastern energy giants. This puts pressure on established European brokers to move beyond their core markets and provide seamless, localized currency settlement for regional exchanges. The inclusion of local payment rails like BLIK further highlights that the battle for retail market share is now being fought on the grounds of user convenience and direct access to high-growth regional economies.
