Press Release: Capchase Launches Mila: The 24/7 AI Deal Desk Revolutionizing Vendor Financing | Featured Image by FF News

Capchase has launched Mila, a 24/7 AI-powered deal desk designed to automate the vendor financing process for enterprise technology. By enabling instant credit decisions and contract generation via Slack and email, the platform addresses the friction of traditional "bank hours" in a $1.3 trillion market, allowing sales teams to close deals without administrative delays.

What was announced

Mila is a generative AI tool that handles the end-to-end workflow of vendor financing. It allows enterprise technology vendors to submit quotes via email, Slack, or a dedicated web portal to receive priced financing proposals and buyer credit decisions in seconds. The tool is designed to eliminate the manual back-and-forth between sales, legal, and credit teams that typically characterizes the equipment and vendor financing sector.

Key functionalities include the ability to convert PDF quotes into branded proposals with up to three payment options, and the capacity to adjust terms based on specific monthly budget requirements. Mila also manages the assembly of financing agreements, incorporating the vendor’s own order forms for legal review, and provides real-time tracking of deal status, such as when a link is opened or an agreement is signed. The system is designed to work from each deal desk's specific context, including their unique approval criteria and pricing models.

The launch follows a beta period during which more than 75% of financing actions at Capchase’s deal desk were processed through Mila. The technology builds upon Capchase’s existing AI underwriting infrastructure, which currently automates over 90% of financing applications in under a minute. Earlier this year, the company introduced its Agentic Lending Coordinator, which compressed financing workflows from roughly eight hours to 60 seconds. Mila is now generally available at no additional cost to all vendors using the Capchase platform, including early adopters like Barracuda and Verkada, and can be accessed at finance.new.

The companies involved

Capchase is an embedded vendor financing platform that provides financial infrastructure for enterprise technology companies. The firm has processed nearly $2 billion in deals through its portal and focuses on modernizing traditional financing workflows through AI underwriting. The company was co-founded by Miguel Fernandez and Guli Moreno, who serves as co-founder at the firm.

The company is supported by several prominent investors in the fintech and asset management space, including QED, 01 Advisors, and Thomvest. Another notable stakeholder in the ecosystem is Invesco, a global investment management firm. Capchase's market position is defined by its attempt to digitize the $1.3 trillion vendor and equipment financing market, moving away from manual, paper-heavy processes toward automated, "always-on" credit decisioning. Its client base includes technology providers such as Barracuda, where John McAvoy serves as VP of Sales. The platform's goal is to remove the "tedious input" required by traditional portals, allowing deal desks to focus on deal structuring rather than administrative management.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has previously explored the broader trend of institutional interest in the technologies Capchase is deploying. In a report on an Invesco Survey: Retirement Savers Embrace Private Markets and AI with Human Oversight, it was noted that there is a growing openness to integrating AI within complex financial structures, provided there is a level of human oversight. This reflects the hybrid approach seen in the Mila rollout, where the AI handles the bulk of the workflow but hands off to human operators when specific context is required.

What this means

This move signals a shift in the "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) for business model toward deep integration within existing sales communication tools. By embedding financing directly into Slack and email, Capchase is pressuring traditional lenders who still rely on portal-based entries or manual underwriting. The challenge for the sector now is whether AI can maintain credit quality during economic volatility without the "bank hours" friction that historically served as a manual check. As deal desks become increasingly automated, the competitive moat for fintechs will likely shift from the speed of the decision to the seamlessness of the user experience for the sales representative. It raises the question of whether traditional banks will be forced to adopt similar "agentic" AI layers to protect their share of the equipment financing market.
