Mondevo Group Opens Ittikar: The AI-Powered Private Capital Network for Global Family Offices
By Lauren Towner · 5 October 2026

Mondevo Group has transitioned its AI-native private capital platform, Ittikar, from a proprietary internal tool to a live network available to global family offices. For fintech professionals, this move signals a maturation of vertical AI in private markets, shifting the technology from simple document summarization to the automated execution of complex cross-border transactions and sovereign data management.
What was announced
Ittikar is a dedicated platform designed for family offices to analyze deals, invest, and raise capital. Initially conceptualized in November 2025, the platform is now open beyond its founding group following a successful internal pilot phase. The system is built around "Itti," a vertical AI assistant specialized in private markets, which utilizes a proprietary "Capital DNA™" framework to match deals with a family’s specific investment profile. Unlike generic large language models, Ittikar’s AI is calibrated to institutional investment standards, performing deep-tier due diligence and drafting investment committee memorandums.
The platform’s efficacy was demonstrated through two major acquisitions conducted by Mondevo Group: the purchase of Italian menswear house Caruso in February and the acquisition of Milan-based brand accelerator Underscore District in August. In both instances, Ittikar’s due diligence engine managed the process from initial analysis to completion. The technology behind the platform was developed in-house by Mondevo Tech, a division comprising more than 50 engineers and 120 AI coding agents. To ensure security and compliance with GDPR, NIS 2, and the EU AI Act, the architecture utilizes sovereign "Data Pods," allowing members to hold encrypted data in a jurisdiction of their choosing.
Development has already commenced on a second release, which began in September. This phase is scheduled to deliver progressive capabilities through June 2027, including portfolio analysis and reporting in early 2027, followed by negotiation tools in the second quarter. By mid-2027, the platform intends to enable members to tokenize assets and settle co-investments on distributed ledgers via licensed partners, with a first tokenization proof of concept scheduled before the end of this year.
"We did not launch Ittikar with a demonstration. We launched it on our own deals, with our own capital. The Group bought Caruso and Underscore District with the same engine our members use: the whole data room read and graded in days, every finding sourced, the investment committee memorandum drafted before the advisers would normally have finished their first pass."

The companies involved
Mondevo Group is a private capital and technology organization with a 25-year investment track record. The group maintains an extensive network of relationships across 500 family offices globally. Its technology arm, Mondevo Tech, serves as the internal engine for its digital transformation efforts, focusing on high-stewardship environments where data privacy is paramount. The group’s leadership includes Hussam Otaibi, Founder of Ittikar and Mondevo Group, and Co-founders Fabio Brambilla and Cristiano Motto, the latter of whom also serves as Chief Technology Officer.
Ittikar operates as the group’s AI-native merchant bank and private capital network. The platform’s investment strategy and AI integration are overseen by Chris Shann, Head of Investment and AI Enablement at Ittikar. The network’s founding membership is geographically and industrially diverse, including single and multi-family offices, entrepreneurs, and family conglomerates from Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. These members represent sectors ranging from luxury and consumer goods to real estate, finance, and heavy industry. By operating as a buy-side platform rather than a traditional deal-distribution site, Ittikar positions itself as a specialized tool for high-net-worth investors seeking filtered, high-conviction deal flow.
What FF News has reported before
FF News previously covered the initial reveal of this project in late 2025. In the report Mondevo Group Unveils ITTIKAR: The World's First AI-Native Merchant Bank for Family Offices, we detailed the group's vision to create a private capital network with AI at its core. That earlier coverage highlighted the ambition to move away from traditional merchant banking models toward a technology-first approach. The current launch confirms that the platform has met its initial development milestones ahead of the original schedule, transitioning from a conceptual vision to a functional tool used for multi-million euro acquisitions in the Italian fashion and brand sectors.
What this means
The launch of Ittikar places significant pressure on traditional boutique investment banks and mid-market advisory firms that rely on manual due diligence processes. When an AI engine can draft an investment memorandum faster than a human deal team can complete a first pass of a data room, the value proposition of traditional hourly-rate consultancy begins to erode. Furthermore, the emphasis on sovereign data pods addresses a critical barrier to AI adoption among ultra-high-net-worth investors: the fear of data leakage into public training sets. As the platform moves toward tokenization and distributed ledger settlement in 2027, it challenges the industry to reconsider how private equity liquidity and co-investment are structured in a digital-first economy.
