Avaloq Appoints Nidhi Singh as Chief Product and Development Officer to Drive Wealth Tech Innovation
26 August 2026

Avaloq has appointed Nidhi Singh as Chief Product and Development Officer and member of the Group Executive Board to spearhead its global product strategy. For fintech professionals, this leadership transition signals a critical phase in Avaloq’s Mid-Term Plan 2030, focusing on large-scale digital transformation and the next generation of wealth management technology.
What was announced
Effective 7 September, Nidhi Singh joins Avaloq’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, to lead the company’s global product strategy, product management, development, and engineering functions. She succeeds Fabio Baj, who is stepping down from the Group Executive Board after a long tenure shaping the firm’s software development capabilities. Singh will remain at the helm of defining and delivering the company’s product roadmap as it enters a new phase of innovation.
Singh brings over 20 years of experience in product development and transformation initiatives. Her most recent role was Chief Product Officer at Charles River Development, where she managed product strategy and marketing across institutional, wealth management, and private markets segments. At Avaloq, her mandate involves helping over 170 financial institution clients—ranging from private banks and wealth managers to retail and neobanks—accelerate their digital transformation through cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) and business process as a service (BPaaS) models.
The appointment is a central component of Avaloq’s Mid-Term Plan 2030, which prioritizes the delivery of advanced technology solutions to meet evolving market demands. Singh will work closely with the executive team to execute the existing product roadmap while driving growth across the firm’s global footprint.
"I am excited to shape Avaloq’s product strategy and roadmap as part of its Group Executive Board. I have spent my career building products that help financial institutions respond to changing client expectations and navigate complex market environments. Avaloq has a remarkable heritage, a talented team and a compelling vision for the future, and I am thrilled to help drive the next phase of its growth. I look forward to working closely with clients, partners and colleagues to deliver the innovations that will shape the future of wealth management."

What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely followed Avaloq’s recent expansions and strategic partnerships. In August 2026, we covered the New Avaloq index finds UK ranks behind Singapore, US and UAE as new geography of wealth management emerges, highlighting the shifting global landscape. The firm has also been active in the digital asset space, as seen when BancaStato Launches Regulated Crypto Trading with Sygnum and Avaloq. Furthermore, Avaloq has continued to modernize traditional banking through initiatives like Four Cantonal Banks Partner with Avaloq to Modernize Mobile Banking and its collaboration with BlackRock’s wealth platform, as noted in Avaloq and Aladdin Wealth Strengthen Service Offering to Arab Bank Switzerland.
What this means
This leadership change highlights the intensifying pressure on legacy wealth management providers to modernize their tech stacks. By recruiting a Chief Product Officer from a major institutional player like Charles River Development, Avaloq is signaling a shift toward more integrated, large-scale transformation capabilities. The industry is currently grappling with a move away from siloed systems toward unified front-to-back platforms, and the success of Avaloq’s 2030 plan will depend on how effectively it can bridge the gap between traditional private banking and the agile demands of neobanking. The move puts competitors on notice that the battle for the "wealth-tech" desktop is entering a more aggressive, product-led phase.
